The Everett Silvertips defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-1 in Western Hockey League play at the ShoWare Center on Saturday night.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Seattle (18-10-2-0) took a 1-0 lead at 12:44 of the first period on Turner Ottenbreit’s second goal of the season. Ryan Gropp passed the puck from the left boards to Ottenbreit at center ice. Ottenbreit took a slap shot that hit the cross bar and went into the net. Ethan Bear had the second assist on the goal to give him a seven-game point streak.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Everett (17-10-0-2) tied the game 1-1 at 16:27 of the second period on a goal from Patrick Bajkov. Mackenzie Dwyer and Matt Fonteyne had the assists.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Everett scored three goals in the third period to get the win. Remi Laurencelle scored 44 seconds into the period to give the Tips a 2-1 lead.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Cole MacDonald scored on the power play at 8:58 of the third to make it a 3-1 Everett lead.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Bajkov added a second goal in the game at 12:07 of the third for the final Everett goal.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Everett outshot Seattle 34-27 in the game.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Seattle goalie Logan Flodell made 30 saves 34 shots and his record is now 11-6-2-0.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Hart made 26 saves on 27 shots and his record is 17-9-0-2.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
