For the Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n Highline College offers a free course for community members who are preparing to take the U.S. Citizenship Test.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Classes run Mondays and Wednesdays, April 1\u2013June 10, from 1 p.m. to 2:50 p.m., or Saturdays, April 4\u2013Aug. 29 (except June 13, June 20) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Classes are in Building 19, Room 102, on campus at 2400 S. 240th St., Des Moines.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n There will be assistance with preparing for the test, application procedures and follow-through on the steps to becoming a U.S. citizen. Students must bring their permanent resident card and their driver’s license or identification card. The courses have open enrollment, and students may register throughout the quarter. Students may also qualify for a waiver of the fee to take the citizenship test.
