{"id":1223,"date":"2013-12-04T10:54:50","date_gmt":"2013-12-04T18:54:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/severe-weather-shelter-to-open-in-kent-tonight\/"},"modified":"2016-10-24T01:00:32","modified_gmt":"2016-10-24T08:00:32","slug":"severe-weather-shelter-to-open-in-kent-tonight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/severe-weather-shelter-to-open-in-kent-tonight\/","title":{"rendered":"Severe weather shelter to open in Kent tonight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>In response to predicted cold weather conditions, the city of Kent is activating a severe weather shelter tonight at Kent Lutheran Church, 336 2nd Ave. S.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Operated by Catholic Community Services staff and volunteers from Kent Lutheran Church, the shelter will open at 9 p.m. for check-in and registration and close at 7 a.m. tomorrow.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Priority is given to homeless families with children living on the streets or in vehicles, but the shelter also be available for single women and men.
