Since she cannot \u201cturn off\u201d this gift, messages from departed loved ones can come through at any time. The local car mechanic, manicurist or cashier at the bagel shop may find themselves receiving a spontaneous reading from Caputo as she goes about her day.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The challenges that her special abilities create for her husband of 22 years, Larry, and her two children, ages 20 and 24, and how they cope, are also a main theme on the show.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Caputo\u2019s second book, \u201cYou Can\u2019t Make This Stuff Up\u201d was released in September and debuted at number 9 on the New York Times Best Seller List.
