Ely Allen still has his scoring touch. The former Kentridge High star, hoping to earn another shot at a Major League Soccer career, is playing with the Seattle Wolves of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League.

In eight games so far with the Wolves, who play their home games at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Allen has four goals and three assists. He scored what became the game-winner last Sunday as the Wolves beat the Yakima Reds, 2-1.

Allen, who turned 23 on June 12 and typically plays on the left wing, started 11 of the 12 games he played last year with the Los Angeles Galaxy of MLS, but was waived by the team this past February. He joined the Wolves in May.

Following his Kentridge days, Allen starred at the University of Washington, where he notched 26 goals and 12 assists in 77 games. That included a career-high 12 goals in 2007, when he was named the Pacific-10 Conference co-Player of the Year, and was a College Soccer News second-team All-American selection. The Galaxy selected him 21st overall in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft.

The next home game for Allen and the Wolves is Saturday, June 20, against the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency team at 7:30 p.m. at Starfire.
