The Kent Sunrise Rotary gears up for its third annual Oktoberfest set for Saturday, Oct. 12, from noon until 8 p.m., under the tents at the Red Barn, 206 Railroad Ave. N. in downtown Kent.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Fifty percent of the proceeds from the event will support returning veterans and at-risk youth.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

“This popular fundraiser will benefit local returning vets and at-risk youth, as well as support other Rotary projects for our community,” said Cindi Cameron, event chair. “Along with Oktoberfest grub and grog, there’s plenty of entertainment planned.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Las Vegas’ Manuela Horn, the “Austrian Amazon,” returns as a yodeling, dancing, acting comedic force of nature. The Golden Steer will serve authentic German food.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
