{"id":11167,"date":"2014-04-08T10:54:04","date_gmt":"2014-04-08T17:54:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/fire-damages-kent-commercial-building-2\/"},"modified":"2016-10-23T20:15:26","modified_gmt":"2016-10-24T03:15:26","slug":"fire-damages-kent-commercial-building-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/news\/fire-damages-kent-commercial-building-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire damages Kent commercial building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>Fire damaged a Kent commercial building used for storage at about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 26100 block of 78th Avenue South.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>A passerby called 911 to report smoke and flames at the building, according to a Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority media release.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Units from Kent, Valley Regional Fire Authority, South King Fire &amp; Rescue and King County Medic One were dispatched to the fire.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>Fire crews initially fought the fire from the exterior. Crews found no one inside the structure once they were able to enter it. Firefighters extinguished the fire just after 1 a.m. Nobody was injured.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>The owner of the business told fire investigators the building was being used for storage.
