{"id":11086,"date":"2011-03-25T11:15:54","date_gmt":"2011-03-25T18:15:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spiken.wpengine.com\/news\/drawing-and-editorial-decision-troubling-letter\/"},"modified":"2016-10-21T23:25:26","modified_gmt":"2016-10-22T06:25:26","slug":"drawing-and-editorial-decision-troubling-letter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kentreporter.com\/letters\/drawing-and-editorial-decision-troubling-letter\/","title":{"rendered":"Drawing and editorial decision troubling | Letter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><p>I find the drawings of the tsunamis by Mr. Shiers (published in the March 18 edition of the Kent Reporter) to be extremely misguided and embarrassing.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>To compare the horrific natural disaster that devastated much of eastern Japan to the incompetence of many of our elected state officials is incredulous.\u00a0 To compare how our state may suffer, to the death and destruction in Japan is unconscionable.\u00a0 Mr. Shiers has had a habit of creating \u201cquestionable\u201d depictions in the past.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>I question what the editors of the Auburn and Kent papers were thinking when they \u201capproved\u201d the publication.\u00a0 Mr. Klaas and Mr. Box, you both should be embarrassed at such an insensitive \u201ccreation\u201d.\u00a0 The Auburn Reporter lacks in many areas so perhaps it\u2019s time for Sound Publishing to move in another direction.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p>My heart goes out to the people of Japan.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><p><strong>J.
