Get ready to enjoy the free Kent Winterfest festival Dec. 4 at Town Square Plaza in downtown Kent, Second Avenue and West Harrison Street.<\/p>\n

The event includes a parade at 4:30 p.m. to welcome the arrival of Santa Claus to the Kent Station shopping mall. The parade goes along Ramsay Way to Second Avenue from the mall to the plaza.<\/p>\n

Crews will light a 35-foot Christmas tree at 5:30 p.m. at Town Square Plaza. Local choirs will perform during the evening. The Kent Lions, sponsors of Winterfest, will serve warm drinks and snacks.<\/p>\n

Children and their parents can attend a holiday story time at 4 p.m. at the Kent Library.<\/p>\n
