The King County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of South 277th Street and 55th Avenue South that sent nine people to the hospital Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

One patient had serious injuries and was taken by medic unit to a local hospital. The other eight patients, including a young child, were transported by ambulances and aid car with non-life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The crash took place at 5:42 p.m. and required three fire engines, an aid car, two King County Medic units; a fire commander, one Medic One commander and four ambulances<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A total of 25 personnel were utilized to treat and transport the nine patients. Firefighters from the Kent Fire Department and South King Fire and Rescue responded to the call.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The exact cause of the crash has yet to be determined. South 277th will be closed for several hours while the investigation continues.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
