Members of Girl Scout Troop 41579, The Shooting Stars, donated about 600 clothing items and 450 books to the Kent Area Council PTA clothing bank, which is in Kent Phoenix Academy, 11000 SE 264th St.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The clothing bank serves families in the Kent School District with a referral from a school staff person or another Kent community agency, such as Head Start, Kent Youth and Family Services or Communities in Schools.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The clothing bank is always looking for volunteers and donations, including new socks and underwear and gently used, clean clothes and shoes for children.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
There is a donation bin on the west side of the Kent Phoenix Academy building.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The clothing bank will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 28, May 12 and 26 and June 2.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
