The Kentlake High School Drama Club will present Rogers and Hammerstein “South Pacific” May 5-8.<\/p>\n
Times are 7 p.m. for evening performances and 2 p.m. Saturday for matinees. Performances will be at the Kentlake High Performing Arts Center, 21401 S.E. 300th St.<\/p>\n
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door or online at brownpapertickets.com. Veterans and active duty military personnel get in for free.<\/p>\n
The story is set in an island paradise during World War II, where two parallel romances are threatened by the dangers of prejudice and war.<\/p>\n
Familiar hit songs from the musical include, “Some Enchanted Evening,” “There is Nothing like a Dame,” “Bali Hai” and “I\u2019m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair”.<\/p>\n
