Six Seattle Thunderbirds were listed in the NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings for 2013 NHL Draft eligible players released today by the NHL.

The T-Birds had the most players of any team in the WHL listed in the midterm rankings. The Medicine Hat Tigers had five players listed.

Defenseman Shea Theodore is ranked 17th. Theodore has nine goals and 20 assists for 29 points in 44 games this season. Theodore is playing in the Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects game on Wednesday at the Halifax Metro Center in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Left wing Roberts Lipsbergs is ranked 61st. Lipsbergs is second on the team in scoring with 32 points on 17 goals and 15 assists. He recently returned from representing Latvia at the 2013 World Junior Championship in Ufa, Russia.

Defenseman Jared Hauf is ranked 70th. Hauf has appeared in 44 games and has four assists with 59 penalty minutes.

Right wing Connor Honey is ranked 144th. Honey leads the team in scoring with 33 points on 10 goals and 23 assists. Defenseman Jerret Smith is ranked 153rd. Smith, a rookie, has 11 assists in 43 games this season. Left wing Riley Sheen is ranked 158th. Sheen has eight goals and 22 assists for 30 points in 44 games this season.

Each hockey season NHL Central Scouting puts out three sets of rankings for first year draft eligible players from North America and Europe. The Preliminary rankings precede the Mid-Term Rankings. NHL Scouting Final Rankings come out sometime in April.
