Fans can bring teddy bears to throw on the ice at the Seattle Thunderbirds hockey game Saturday night at the ShoWare Center. The bears will be donated to local police and fire departments to give to children in times of emergency and crisis.
The T-birds play the Everett Silvertips at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
Fans can throw the bears on the ice after the T-birds score their first goal.
Employees and volunteers from Children’s Hospital in Seattle will sell a limited number of teddy bears for $5 each at the arena before the game.
To buy game tickets, go to www.seattlethunderbirds.com. Tickets also are available at the ShoWare Center box office starting three hours before the game.
