Top high school basketball players compete in Puget Sound Throwdown

Local high school basketball players will take part in the 2017 Puget Sound Throwdown All-Area Games on Saturday, April 8, at Highline

Community College in Des Moines.

This is the first game to bring together the top boys and girls basketball players from the greater-Tacoma and the greater-Seattle areas, according to event organizers.

There will be a three-point shooting contest at half time of the girls game and a dunk contest at half time of the boys game.

The girls game begins at 2 p.m., followed by the boys game at 4 p.m.

Doors open at 1 p.m. The cost is $10 per adult and $7 for senior citizens and students. Children 10 and under enter for free, and W.S.C.A. coaches get in free with a W.S.C.A.
