Three female soccer players from Kentlake, Kentwood, and Kentridge have committed to playing college soccer.
Ally Irwin, a forward from Kentwood, will play at Corban University in Salem, Ore. Katie Kennedy, a defender from Kentridge, will play at Bellevue College. And Mackenzie Bolton, a defender from Kentlake, will play at Shoreline Community College.
Other girls from the area who have signed to play college soccer are Kylie Englebert, a goalkeeper from White River HS, who will play for Eastern Oregon University, and Hayley Warren, a midfielder from Tahoma HS and Allison Shelton, a midfielder/forward from Puyallup HS who will also play for Shoreline CC.
These six girls play for the Rainier Valley Slammers U18, a competitive soccer program of the Auburn Youth Soccer Association. The team also competes in Division 2 of the Regional Club League and has qualified for the Washington State Championship Cup tournament.
