Greg Scott was the T-Birds first shooter in the shootout. Everett goalie Thomas Heemskerk made a glove save on Scott. Kellan Tochkin was Everett’s first shooter. Seattle goalie Calvin Pickard made the save on Tochkin’s attempt.

Prab Rai was Seattle’s second shooter and Heemskerk made a poke check to keep the puck out of the net. Shane Harper was the Tips second shoot and he beat Pickard with a backhand move.

Jim O’Brien was the T-Birds’ third shoot and he tried to go five-hole, but Heemskerk made the save to get the Tips the win.

Seattle (31-29-1-4) outshot Everett 14-7 in the first period.

The T-Birds took a 1-0 lead at 6:01 of the second period on a shorthanded goal by Rai. Thomas Hickey had the puck in the Seattle zone and passed it to Rai in the neutral zone. Rai carried the puck into the Everett zone on the side on a one-on-one and then hesitated as Scott came down the slot. Rai passed it to Scott who put a shot on goal. The puck rebounded into the slot in front of Everett goalie Thomas Heemskerk. Rai followed up Scott’s shot, got to the rebound and beat Heemskerk high for the goal.
