Seattle’s Mitch Elliot has joined the University of Waterloo Warriors for the 2014-15 season, Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell announced today.
“It was a great five years in Seattle and I am excited to be joining the University of Waterloo,” Elliot said. “This is a great opportunity for me to grow both as a player and as a student.”
Elliot appeared in 322 games for the T-Birds over five seasons, putting him in fifth for most games played in club history. He had 14 goals and 20 assists for 34 points with 524 penalty minutes in five seasons.
Elliot finished his junior eligibility last season and is now taking advantage of the WHL Scholarship Program, which will give him a year of tuition and books at Waterloo for every season played in the WHL.
