T-Birds announce training camp schedule; tickets go on sale Aug. 20

The Seattle Thunderbirds open training camp Aug. 21.

Two scrimmages between 1998- and 1999-born players are scheduled for 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the ShoWare Center on Aug. 21 and 22.

More scrimmages are set for Aug. 23 and 24, with three squads playing – Team Blue, Team White and Team Grey.

The last day of training camp on Aug. 25 will feature a full 60-minute, three-period game. The teams will be wearing T-Birds white and blue game jerseys, unlike previous scrimmages which will feature team practice jerseys. The game starts at 5:30 p.m. at the ShoWare Center.

All scrimmages and game are open to the public free of charge. Fans attending should enter the center from the east side of the building.

Preseason slate

The Thunderbirds have a seven games scheduled.

The T-Birds open play in the Everett Silvertips Holiday Inn Preseason Classic at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 29 against the Tri-City Americans.

The T-Birds make their only preseason appearance at the ShoWare Center on Sept. 13 for a 7:05 p.m. game against Everett.

Tickets for the home preseason game go on sale Aug. 21.

The T-Birds’ home opener for the regular season is Sept. 20 against Everett. Face-off is 7:05 p.m.
