Joseph “The Jet” Cairel will return for his fourth season with the Tacoma Stars, recently re-signing with the Major Arena Soccer League team.
As per league and team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Cairel, from Livermore, Calif., has playing in Brazil as a teenager on his soccer resume prior to joining the Stars. He made 15 appearances last season for Tacoma and picked up 12 points on nine goals and three assists. In his MASL career, he has 37 points (24 goals, 13 assists) in 50 games played.
“Joseph is a dynamic midfield player for us,” said Darren Sawatzky, Stars coach and general manager. “Watching him play in the PDL a couple years back, we knew he would develop into an exciting arena player. Having him back to run off the front line is great, and we expect him to build on last year and put up some numbers this season.”
The Stars kick off the season on Saturday, Dec. 1 against the Turlock Express at the accesso ShoWare Center.
