The Tacoma Stars have re-signed forward Vince McCluskey and added Guam native and Pacific Lutheran University alum Eddie Na to the roster.

Per team and league policy, terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

McCluskey, a Seattle native and University of Puget Sound alumnus, was one of four Stars to appear in all 24 regular-season games last season. He finished the campaign with 10 points (seven goals, three assists). He added a goal in two games during the Stars’ opening-round playoff series with the San Diego Sockers.

Since the 2014-15 season, McCluskey has played in 81 games for the Stars with 31 points to show for his efforts (21 goals, 10 assists).

As a senior at UPS, McCluskey was named to the All-Northwest Conference and First Team All-West Region by the NSCAA.

Na moved from Guam to the Northwest at age 11 and has been known for his soccer abilities in both regions. Na ranked among the top offensive players in the NWC for the PLU Lutes and received league honors every season he was with the team, including 2016 in which his 15 goals landed him fourth on the school’s all-time single-season top 10.

Na made his international debut for Guam in 2016 and went on to appear in six matches for the team. Na moved his game indoors as a member of the WISL’s Stars Reserves in 2018.

New season begins

The Stars open the MASL season on Saturday, Nov. 30 against the Sockers. Kickoff is 7:05 p.m. at the accesso ShoWare Center.
