The Tacoma Stars welcome the Ontario (Calif.) Fury to the accesso ShoWare Center on Sunday evening in the annual Teddy Bear Toss Game.

The MASL match kicks off at 5:05 p.m.

Bring a stuffed animal and when the Stars score their first goal, let them fly on to the field. All stuffed animals will benefit Toys for Tots.

Tacoma (1-1) enters the match coming off a 5-4 overtime win in Turlock, Calif., last Friday in which Adam West scored the game winner on an assist from Logan Jones with 2:54 to play in the extra period. It was West’s first goal of the season and Jones’ first career MASL point.

To go along with Jones’ milestone, Stars keeper Danny Waltman added one of his own as he notched MASL career save No. 2,500 with his 13th stop of the match. For the season, Waltman has a 1-1 record with 21 saves and 4.82 goals against average.

This is the first of two trips Ontario will make to Kent this season.

Ontario is seeing its first action of the 2019-20 season this weekend with a stop in San Diego on Friday before facing the Stars. The Fury won the 2018-19 season series 3-2 over Tacoma, including two victories at the ShoWare Center.

Many familiar players are returning to the Fury lineup including keeper Chris Toth, Jermaine Jones, and Franck Tayou. Topping the list of new additions to the visiting team is a former Star, Joseph ‘The Jet’ Cairel.
