The Seattle Thunderbirds acquired 20-year-old goalie Brandon Glover from the Calgary Hitmen Tuesday in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2013 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

“Brandon is a solid goaltender who has been making steady progress throughout his WHL career,” said T-Birds general manager Russ Farwell. “We wanted to be sure we had enough experience in goal next season and feel Brandon can provide this for us.”

Glover is now skating with the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Last season with the Hitmen Glover played in 39 games and had a 20-12-0-0 record with a 3.11 goals against average and a .885 save percentage. Glover has played 102 career games in the WHL and has a 38-38-3-5 record with one shutout. He has a career 3.36 goals against average and a .888 career save percentage.

The T-Birds play home games at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
