The Seattle Thunderbirds junior hockey team will play six exhibition games in August and September, including one home game at the ShoWare Center in Kent.

The Seattle Thunderbirds will play six preseason games

The Seattle Thunderbirds junior hockey team will play six exhibition games in August and September, including one home game at the ShoWare Center in Kent.

Seattle plays the Everett Silvertips at 7:35 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14 at the ShoWare Center. Tickets for the Western Hockey League game go on sale in August.

The T-Birds will play two games at the Everett Silvertips preseason tournament at Comcast Arena. They play the Portland Winterhawks at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 and the Spokane Chiefs at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.

Seattle travels to Kennewick for two games at the Red Lion Hotels’ Preseason Tournament at the Toyota Center. At 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, the T-Birds play the Tri-City Americans. They take on the Winterhawks at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8.

The T-Birds finish the preseason schedule against the Silvertips at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at Comcast Arena.

Seattle will release its full 2012-13 regular season schedule June 27.

Single-game tickets for the 2012-13 regular season will go on sale on in late August online at www.seattlethunderbirds.com and at the ShoWare Center box office.

Season tickets are currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.

2012-13 THUNDERBIRDS PRESEASON SCHEDULE

Aug. 31: vs. Portland at Everett tournament, 3 p.m.

Sept. 2: vs. Spokane at Everett tournament, 3 p.m.

Sept. 7: at Tri-City, 7 p.m.

Sept. 8: vs. Portland at Tri-City tournament, 3 p.m.

Sept. 14: vs. Everett, ShoWare Center, 7:35 p.m.

Sept. 15: at Everett, 7:05 p.m.
