For the second consecutive year, starting July 1, the T-Birds encouraged fans to send the team photos of them wearing T-Birds jerseys, hats and t-shirts during their summer travels. If fans are going on a summer vacation to a unique location, they can take a photo wearing T-Birds gear and send it to the team.

The T-Birds posted photos at the end of each week on their website and Facebook Fan page. The photos will remain on the T-Birds website and Facebook Fan page over the course of the summer to highlight all the different locations that T-Bird fans travel to.

The T-Birds will award two tickets to the preseason game against the Everett Silvertips on Saturday, September 17, at ShoWare Center to the fan that submits the best photo in eight different categories.

The eight categories are: Most Unique, Furthest From ShoWare Center, Best of Washington, Fan On An Island, Fan with Most Entries, Most People In A Photo Wearing Thunderbirds Apparel, Most Famous Person In Photo and Most Calories In Photo.

Winners of each category will be determined by T-Birds office staff. The T-Birds office staff will take into consideration input made by fans on each photo after it is posted to a 2011 Summer Photo Promotion Facebook photo gallery.

The T-Birds will also put together a video slide show of all photo submissions from the summer that will run during one of the intermissions of the T-Birds home opener on Saturday, September 24, against the Portland Winterhawks at ShoWare Center.

Fans will be able to submit their photos to the T-Birds via email at stbirds@seattlethunderbirds.com . When submitting their photos fans should include the names of all persons in the picture, when the photo was taken, where the photo was taken, what category the photos is being submitted in and any other information pertinent to the photo.
