For the Reporter
The Seattle Impact FC have announced the addition of Francisco Cisneros, the indoor soccer team’s first signed defender.
Born and raised in Corvallis, Ore., Cisneros attended Crescent Valley High and Oregon State University, where he got his bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science.
Cisneros brings many years of playing experience to the Impact. Most recently, Cisneros played for the Kitsap Pumas’ indoor and outdoor teams. He has played for the Pumas since their inaugural season in 2010.
Cisneros is looking forward to the opportunity to play for the Impact, the newest addition to the 23-team Major Arena Soccer League, the indoor game’s top-tier division throughout North America.
“I am very excited and honored to be a part of the inaugural season with the Seattle Impact FC,” Cisneros said. “I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of the team, getting into training, and making a contribution for Seattle Impact FC.”
Open player tryouts and dance team auditions are Sept. 6 and 7 at the ShoWare Center and require pre-registration.
The Impact kick off the season with a home game against the San Diego Sockers on Nov. 8.
