Kent-Meridian’s Aaron Tulloch, senior, track and field, is the Kent Reporter’s Male Athlete of the Week.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Video production.

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Making poetry and watching Netflix.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My family.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: I listen to music.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: “Missin Out” by Brent Faiyaz.

“Aaron is a phenomenal athlete and all-around great person. He set two school records in the discus and javelin this season. He is ranked third in the NPSL in the shot put and discus and sixth in the javelin. His ranks ranked in the top 10 in the state for the shot and discus. He will be attending Western Oregon in the fall on a full-ride scholarship to play football.” – Coaches Lisa Kelly and Justin Callander

A: Biology.

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Basketball, hanging out with family and friends.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: Mother and father.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: I try to visualize my races.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: R&B and hip-hop.

“Qwaniah has been an exceptional students and athlete for the last four years. While working toward her AA degree at Highline College, Qwaniah has been a state qualifier for the past three years. She is currently in the top 10 in the state in the 400 meters. Qwaniah has been a great team leader for our young female track squad. She will be missed next year as she plans to attend UW.”
