Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Math. As much as I struggle, my teacher Mr. Landry helps explain how to answer the questions in different ways that make sense to me..

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: My family is all about sports. That’s what I love to do.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My dad, J.C. Cowan, helps me on and off the field, always telling me to do the little things, then the big things will happen.

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: Look up my favorite baseball player and watch his highlights and mechanics that will improve my game.

Q: Song you currently can’t get enough of?

A: Not really a song, but a motivational video called “Why Do We Fall?” by Hans Zimmer.

Tyler has fought through injuries all season and now resides as the starting shortstop, batting second in the lineup. For the season, he hit .317 with 22 bases on balls, leading the team with both 19 hits and 20 runs scored.”

From the Sideline

“Erika, only a sophomore, is undefeated this season in No. 1 singles. Erika leads by example, is always positive with her teammates and takes the time to help the whole program be better. Erika is a standout in tennis, finishing in third place last year at state. She is a two-year All-Cascade Division Team and Singles Player of the Year. She is an outstanding athlete who balances academics, tennis and golf. A small but mighty competitor, she overcomes bigger and stronger opponents with her mental fortitude and consistent work ethic.
