For the Reporter

The Seattle Ravens extended its winning streak to three games last Saturday with a 6-1 win over the Tri-Cities Outlaws at the Kent Valley Ice Centre.

The Ravens are one of seven Northern Pacific Hockey League (NPHL) teams throughout Washington and Oregon.

Grant Omyer led the Ravens attack with two goals and one assist, while goaltender Justin Nelson made 28 saves on 29 shots. The only Outlaws’ goal came on a five-on-three powerplay, spoiling Nelson’s shutout bid.

Zane James had a goal and an assist for Seattle, while Jake Best, Andrew Bell and Logan Koski also tallied for the Ravens. Cole Egan had two assists, while Ben Lehfeldt-Ehlinger, John Crosbie and Tom Speer registered one apiece.

“Always enjoy a win,” Raven head coach Danny Lorenz said, “but there is still much work to be done. I like how our players really work to implement what we are trying to do, but we need to keep our shoulder to the wheel and keep grinding.”

The Ravens won their first road game last Friday with a 4-3 victory over the Outlaws. A 2-1 win over the Eugene Generals on Oct. 10 at home gave the Ravens their first victory in franchise history.

The 3-5 Ravens take on the 0-6 West Sound Warriors from Bremerton at 6:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at the Kent Valley Ice Centre, 6015 S. 240th St.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students and seniors and may be purchased at the door.
