• Sport: Baseball.
• Accomplishment: Christie, a righthander, struck out 12 and didn’t allow a run in six strong innings of work, leading Kentlake past Auburn Riverside 8-0 last week. In addition to his work on the mound, Christie also went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs batted in.
• Favorite class: Pre-calculus.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (San Francisco Giants pitcher and Liberty High product) Tim Lincecum and would serve steak, mashed potatoes and Caesar salad.
• Favorite movie: The Italian Job.
• Most recent book read/author: “The Innocent Man” by John Grisham.
• What’s on your iPod?: “Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer.
• Also noted: Along with being a gifted pitcher, Christie also has shown plenty in the classroom, where he sports a 3.95 grade-point average and is part of the National Honor Society.
TAYLOR WHITE
Kentwood
• Grade: Junior.
• Sport: Baseball.
• Accomplishment: White went 2-for-2 with a pair of runs batted in, leading Kentwood past Emerald Ridge 6-3 this past Saturday. The win helped the Conquerors clinch the No. 3 seed from the SPSL North to the district tournament.
• Favorite class: Music Elements.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Professional baseball players) Vladimir Guerrero and Manny Ramirez (and teammate) Bryant VanEngelenburg, actors Will Ferrell and Tom Green. We would eat cheese sandwiches, sausages and (drink) Gatorade.
• Favorite movie: Saving Private Ryan.
• Most recent book read/author: “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry.
• What’s on your iPod?: “Tweezer” by Phish.
• Also noted: White, who sports a 3.4 grade-point average, also is an avid dirtbiker and plays the guitar.
LEXI BOLTON

• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Tennis.
• Accomplishment: Bolton delivered the match of the day last week against Tahoma, knocking off the Bears’ Mona Tafesh 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in No. 2 singles.
• Favorite class: AP Biology.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Sebastien Le Toux from the Seattle Sounders. I would serve Fettucini Alfredo.
• Favorite movie: Secondhand Lions.
• Most recent book read/author: “Anil’s Ghost” by Michael Ondaatje.
• What’s on your iPod?: “New Shoes” by Paolo Nutini.
• Also noted: Bolton will be attending Lewis & Clark College in Lewiston, Idaho in the fall.
KA MAR DIN
Kent-Meridian
• Grade: Freshman.
• Sport: Soccer.
• Accomplishment: Din scored the biggest goal of the season for the Royals, finding the net in the 42nd minute in helping Kent-Meridian knock off Kentwood 1-0. The win snapped a three-year losing streak for the Royals.
• Favorite class: Math.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite all of my family and serve Tom Yum (soup).
• Favorite movie: James Bond movies.
• What’s on your iPod?: Sai Sai.
• Also noted: Din is from Burma and this is his first year in America. He has been at Kent-Meridian for seven months. His native language is Burmese.
JOSE CAMPOS
Kent-Meridian
• Grade: Junior.
• Sport: Soccer.
• Accomplishment: While Din provided the offense, Campos proved vital in goal against Kentwood, working a shutout in helping the Royals finish the season with a victory.
• Favorite class: Building Trades.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: If I could invite anyone in the world to dinner, I would invite Jorge Campos because he is one of the best goalkeepers in soccer history. And because he also has the same last name as me. I would serve chicken enchiladas with salsa verde.
• Favorite movie: Black Hawk Down.
• What’s on your iPod?: Local rappers from San Jose – Young Tank and Speedy Loc.
• Also noted: Campos is involved in the Mecha Club and was part of the Life Conference that took place at Kent-Meridian last week.
