Plourd scores win at NHRA Lucas Oil Divisional

Covington’s Bernie Plourd defeated Puyallup’s Curt Moore for the Pro ET category title in an NHRA Lucas Oil Divisional drag race at Pacific Raceways on Saturday.

Covington’s Bernie Plourd defeated Puyallup’s Curt Moore for the Pro ET category title in an NHRA Lucas Oil Divisional drag race at Pacific Raceways on Saturday.

Plourd covered the quarter-mile strip in 11.361 seconds at a top speed at 114.83 mph. Moore, meanwhile, fouled at the light.

In Super Gas, Selah’s Randy Sides (9.921 at 157.98 mph) downed Auburn’s  Curtis Geise (9.918 at 166.44 mph).
