Greg Manley, the director of golf at Meridian Valley Country Club, has received the Pacific Northwest Section’s highest honor, 2018 Golf Professional of the Year.
Peers chose Manley and other top regional PGA pros in 13 categories for their outstanding performance this year.
Manley was recognized for his leadership at MVCC, where he has worked for 22 years. He has developed a successful golf shop with award-winning employees, section officials said. He has 17 years of service to the association on the chapter, section and national level.
He was vital in the implementation of the Sections Strategic Plan and the Washington Open’s support for the Folds of Honor, a program that provides educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.
Winners were recently announced in the Pacific Northwest Section’s 1,100 PGA pros in Washington, Oregon, Northern Idaho, Western Montana and Alaska. They will be honored at the Pacific Northwest Section Special Awards Ceremony on March 17 at the Seattle Golf Club in Shoreline.
