For the Reporter

Goaltender Taran Kozun has been confirmed as an instructor for the Seattle Thunderbirds Hockey School.

T-Birds assistant coaches Matt O’Dette and Tyler Alos will be the lead instructors. Other T-Birds players taking part as instructors will be announced in coming weeks.

Kozun will rotate through each age group in order to work with all goalies who attend the school.

Participants can get half off the price of the second week if they sign up for both weeks of the camp. The dates are Monday, Aug. 4, to Saturday, Aug. 9, and Monday, Aug. 11, to Saturday, Aug. 16.

The school will consist of five groups. There are four youth groups: Group A for 6, 7 and 8-year-olds; Group B for 9 and 10-year-olds; and Group C for 11 and 12 year-olds; and Group D for 13, 14 and 15-year-olds.

There will also be an Adult Group for players 18-years-old and older.

Youth groups will receive an hour and a half of on-ice instruction followed by a one-hour, off-ice session. On the Saturday of the camp there will be a scrimmage for each group.

Adult groups will feature a two-hour, on-ice session preceded by an off-ice video instruction session.

Youth group registrants will receive a hockey school jersey while adult group registrants will receive a hockey school T-shirt.

For hockey school pricing and to attend the school, download the flyer and return it to the T-Birds.

You can also sign up for the school through the T-Birds online store.

Season tickets are on sale and can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
