Jordyn Jenkins scored 30 points and JaQuaya Miller had 19 as fourth-ranked Kentridge pulled away from Todd Beamer 78-51 for the North Puget Sound League girls basketball championship at Enumclaw High School on Saturday.
The Chargers (19-2) went on a 15-0 run to close out the third quarter to spur the win and earn the league’s top seed to this week’s West Central/Southwest District playoffs. Kentridge will host either Auburn Mountainview or Puyallup in a district opener at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Kiernan Denckla had 10 points and Dayla Ballena finished with seven for Kentridge.
Aaliyah Alexander’s 19 points led the Titans (16-5).
Elsewhere
Federal Way jumped out to a big lead and cruised past Kentridge 89-52 for the NPSL boys title at Enumclaw High School on Saturday night.
Kentridge (15-6), the NPSL Cascade Division champion, hosts either Todd Beamer or South Kitsap in a district playoff opener at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Jaden McDaniels, a top national recruit, scored 31 points to lead the Eagles. Tari Eason had 29.
For the Chargers, Owen Paznokas scored 15 points, with Moses Moore and Jeremy Banks each finishing with 12.
