The Kentridge High School girls soccer team moves on to the quarterfinals of the 4A state playoffs with a 3-1 victory over Wenatchee High on Tuesday night.
Kentwood High was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs with a 1-0 loss against West Valley High in Yakima on Tuesday.
Kentridge (12-1-1 North Puget Sound League Cascade Division, 15-2-2 overall) will face Hanford High (12-2 Mid-Columbia conference, 13-3 overall) in the quarterfinals. The date, time and location of the game has not yet been announced, although quarterfinal games will be played between Nov. 10-12.
The semifinal and final games will be at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup, with the two semifinal games on Friday, Nov. 18, and the championship game at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19.
For the past five years, Kentridge has qualified for the state tournament only to be eliminated in the first round each time.
