Kentlake High School is offering a summer league for players ranging from beginners to upcoming state champs.
This tennis league will offer lots of opportunities for students to improve their skills and become a better tennis player. This tennis league is ran by Tyler Parsons, the Boys Head Tennis Coach at Kentlake High School and the Girls Head Tennis Coach from Todd Beamer High School. He has been a head coach for three years, earning honors as Coach of the Year in 2011.
Classes are separated by skill levels. Black Falcon is for beginning tennis players, Red Falcon is for players that have played junior varsity tennis or are looking to try out for a tennis team and Super Falcon is for those who have played on a varsity team or have the skills to make a varsity tennis team.
Black Falcons practice from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Red Falcons from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Super Falcon play from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Those unsure of what group they fall into can talk to Parsons prior to signing up.
Private lessons will be offered from each of the coaches. All coaches will have the same price for lessons which will be $30 dollars per hour. These lessons can be set up at anytime by contacting them and setting it up.
Lessons can be group lesson for the same price. For example, if three players would like to have a lesson they can split the cost and each pay $10.
Pricing for the tennis league is $ 95 for Red Falcon and Super Flacon and $65 for Black Falcon. Those that have two or more members in their family playing, pay $75.
Super and Red will be Tuesday, Wednesday and play days on Friday against other summer leagues. Black Falcons is on Tuesday and Thursday.
This League will run from July 2nd to July 31st and practices are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays Thursdays and will have optional play days against other summer leagues on Fridays.
