The Kent/Auburn stars were unable to continue the offensive momentum, falling to Cascade, 3-2. Allison Hand and Jordan Engman each collected an RBI double in the loss. Lisa Kamaunu, Engman and Seumalo combined in the circle to hold Cascade to just three runs.

“It was a very good game, we just couldn’t get the bats going,” said coach Jeff Kalka.

The weekend split put Kent/Auburn into the consolation round, where fell to Pacific Monday night, 9-4.

Ashley Myrseth-Barrea supplied the big offensive highlight in the loss, delivering an RBI triple.

“It was just a rough game,” Kalka said. “Their pitching was very good, and our bats didn’t wake up.”
