Kyle Engman’s commitment to play baseball for the University of Puget Sound was a decision he knew would shape not only his next four years, but would lay the foundation for his next 40 years.
The Kent-Meridian senior – a 6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed pitcher and third baseman – was committed to his goal of playing college baseball, opting for UPS, according to NCSA Athletic Recruiting.
Engman’s top fastball has been clocked at 86 mph, with a 70-mph change-up and 72-mph breaking ball, according to NCSA Athletic Recruiting.
Engman has enjoyed academic and athletic success at Kent-Meridian as a dedicated student-athlete, earning a 3.72 GPA and being a four-year varsity starter and All-State selection for the Royals.
