Kent’s Kaid Tipton of Kentridge and Abu Kamara of Kent Meridian earned All-American honors in the 110-meter hurdles at the recent USATF Junior Olympic Nationals in Baltimore.
Tipton, who runs for Xtreme Speed Track Club of Kent, finished seventh in the youth men’s division (ages 17-18) final with a time of 14.72 seconds. He ran a personal-best 14.49 in the semifinals.
Kamara, representing High Voltage of Seattle, was fourth in the intermediate boys division (ages 15-16) final with a time of 14.55.
