Runners and walkers will hit the Green River Trail on Saturday, July 13, for the annual Kent Cornucopia Days 5K run/walk.
The race will start and stop at Three Friends Fishing Hole, 20025 Russell Road. The course is a modified out and back located on the Green River Trail. Runners will head south and turn around near Van Doren’s Landing Park. The course is certified and chip timed by BuDu Racing. Parking is at Columbia Distributing, 20301 59th Pl. S.
Race day registration is at 7:30 a.m. for the 9 a.m. event. Online registration is available through July 11 at RunSignUp.com.
The entry fee is $15 for the run/walk and $30 for the run/walk and a T-shirt. The day of race fee is $20 with no T-shirts available. Participants ages 60 and older can register for free, courtesy of Kent Bowl.
Strollers are allowed on the course but dogs are banned because of the number of participants.
