It wasn’t what the King County Jaguars had in mind for the third annual Cornucopia Bowl.
The British Columbia Spartans raced to a 16-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back on Saturday on the way to a 43-6 rout of the Jags in a North American Football League game at French Field.
The Spartans opened with a safety, then got five straight touchdown passes from quarterback Leo Lilley, covering 17, 96, 91, 9 and 22 yards to take a 34-0 lead.
King County (1-1) finally got on the board in the fourth quarter on an 85-yard return by Marcus Brooks.
The Jaguars hit the road this week — but they’re not going far, as they head to Auburn Memorial Stadium to take on the Valley Mustangs at 7 p.m.
