For the Reporter
The Seattle Impact FC has announced the newest addition to the club, goalkeeper Andrew Croft.
Born and raised in Kenmore, Croft has had a deep passion for soccer all his life.
He was a first-team All-KingCo 4A goalkeeper at Inglemoor High School, and also played for Eastside FC.
Croft was as standout goalkeeper and captain at Pacific Lutheran University for coach John Yorke, helping the Lutes to 12-win seasons in 2005 and 2006. He received his degree in communication at PLU.
Most recently, Croft played for the Premier Arena Soccer League’s Tacoma Galaxy, where he helped the Galaxy win the 2014 Northwest Division Title in the team’s inaugural season. Croft has also been coaching Bellevue College’s men’s soccer team since early 2013.
Croft, who recently moved back to his hometown with his wife, welcomes the opportunity to play with the Impact, a new member of the 23-team Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), the indoor game’s top tier throughout North America.
“I am extremely excited to be a part of the inaugural season for Seattle Impact FC and the MASL,” Croft said. “I am looking forward to playing a big role and expanding the interest of indoor soccer in the Seattle area.”
