Hazen Highlanders fall to Kentwood 14-4 Thursday at home | PHOTO GALLERY

For the first time in more than two weeks, the Hazen Highlanders softball team took the field.

This time Hazen hosted the Kentwood Conquerors Thursday.

The Conks left Renton with a 14-4 win.

Hazen currently sits in second to last place in the North Puget Sound League 4A Cascade division with a 0-4 league record and 1-6 overall.

The Highlanders win of the season came the first game March 16 against the Lindbergh Eagles.

The Conks are sitting in the No. 2 spot behind the undefeated Tahoma Bears.

Kentwood is 4-2 in league and 4-5 overall.

The win Thursday snapped a two game losing streak for the Conquerors.

Hazen’s next game was scheduled for today but has been postponed until a later date. According to the NPSL website, there were not enough umps available for today’s game against the Kentridge Chargers.

Weather dependent the Highlanders will host Mount Rainier at 4 p.m. Monday, April 24.

Hazen is scheduled to play every day next week with two home games and three on the road.

The Conks are scheduled to play today, Friday, April 21 when it hosts Mount Rainier at 4 p.m.

Renton

The 0-5, 0-6 Renton Indians game against River Ridge Thursday was postponed.

Renton is scheduled to host Eatonville today, Friday, April 21 at 4 p.m.

Lindbergh

The Eagles (1-6, 2-8) lost 18-4 Thursday at Fife.

The girls look to snap its six game losing streak today with a 4 p.m. game against Franklin Pierce.

Liberty

The Patriots lost a close one Wednesday 18-15 to Mercer Island.

Liberty is set to travel to Juanita this afternoon, first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.

Kentlake

The Falcons last game was the 12-2 loss to Tahoma Wednesday.

Kentlake is scheduled to play the Hazen Highlanders next at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 25 at Hazen High School.

Tahoma

The Bears have not played since Wednesday either.

Next up for the undefeated Bears is a 4 p.m. away game Tuesday, April 25 at Kennedy Catholic.
