Tacoma’s Nicholas Jefferson faces Portland’s Sean Gee in a six-round welterweight matchup, the Fight Night Brawl VII main event at Green River College in Auburn on Saturday night.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with the first of eight scheduled bouts beginning at 6. Pacific Northwest Professional Boxing Promotions presents the boxing card.
Jefferson is unbeaten in eight pro bouts, with five knockouts. Before turning pro in 2017, Jefferson had a standout amateur career of more than 125 fights. A five-time Golden Gloves champion, Jefferson boxed internationally for Team USA, capturing a bronze medal at the 2013 World Combat Games in Russia.
Gee, who has a mixed martial arts background, is 4-9 as a pro.
Seattle’s Rob Diezel (13-7, 4 KOs) takes on Yakima’s Gilberto Duran (2-1, 2 KOs) in a five-round junior featherweight contest, the co-feature.
Tacoma’s Gerardo Esquivel (2-1, 1 KO) faces Journey Newson (0-1) in a four-round junior welterweight bout.
The card includes former Oregon amateur standout Chris Johnson (3-0, 1 KO) against Shawn Harwood (0-3) in a four-round junior middleweight bout; Kent’s Shae Green (3-1-1, 1 KO) meets William Parra-Smith (1-2, 1 KO) in a four round welterweight contest; Abraham Martin (3-0, 3 KOs) and Alexandro Alvarez (0-1) line up for a four-round cruiserweight battle; featherweights Sebastian Baltazar (1-4) and Steven Hellman square off for a scheduled four rounds; and Jorge Linares Montejo (4-3, 3 KOs) confronts Kevin Davila (2-8-2, 1 KO) in a four round lightweight bout.
