Payton Thomas ran for three touchdowns and Chance Guadiz threw for three more – all in the first half – as Kentridge demolished Kent-Meridian 69-14 in a North Puget Sound League interdivisional game Thursday night at French Field.
The Chargers (1-1) open NPSL Valley Division play against Kentlake next Friday. The Royals (0-3) begin NPSL Sound Division play at Decatur next Saturday.
Thomas, a senior running back, scored on runs of 2, 3 and 12 yards in the first half. Guadiz, a freshman, threw TD passes of 8, 18 and 53 yards to Davis Arbini, and Michael Faber returned an interception 85 yards for a score as the Chargers built a 48-0 halftime lead.
