AJ Chappell made two free throws with 8.8 seconds left and Kentridge High survived two last-second shots attempts by Kent-Meridian to pull out a 60-59 victory in the Les Schwab Kent Shootout at the ShoWare Center on Thursday.
Joran Ticeson scored 32 points on 14-of-21 shooting and hauled down 17 rebounds for the Chargers (4-3 South Puget Sound League 4A, 11-9 overall).
The Royals dropped to 4-4 and 12-8.
