Willie L. Edwards Jr.
Willie Lee Edwards Jr. of Kent died May 21, 2011, in Kent. He was 71. Born May 28, 1939, in Reno Nevada, he graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle. Worked at International Paper Company, was a volunteer firefighter for the city of Tukwila. He was recently awarded a certificate of recognition for his voluntary participation in community activity by the Rotary club of Kent, Washington. He was preceded in death by his son, Willie Lee Edwards III. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Delores Edwards, daughters, Francisca Buelah, Lottie Abbot, Patricia Edwards, Delores McCormick, son Jason Edwards of Fresno Calif; and his sister Lillie M. Martin of Reno Nevada, eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday June 1, at Marlatt Funeral Home chapel in Kent. Burial will be at Hillcrest Burial Park.
