William W. Bliss passed away peacefully at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA on February 14, 2018 at the age of 85.
Bill was raised in Kent, and went on to serve in the United States Air Force. He continued his love for aviation by working in the aerospace industry for such firms as Lockheed, McDonnell Douglas, and Boeing.
He loved dogs and always had a canine companion by his side, but when caring for his dog became too difficult he “settled” for a cat, and quickly found that he loved her as much as any of his dogs.
Bill is preceded in death by his second wife Charlotte, brothers Ralph and Robert, sisters Rachel, Lavern, Opal, Dorothy, Virginia, and his parents Joe and Myrtle. He leaves behind his sister Shirley, his first wife Bonnie and son Thomas as well as many nieces, nephews, step children and step grandchildren.
A celebration of Bills life will be held in the Spring, and please notify his son Thomas at tombliss@mac.com if you would like to be notified the details of Bill’s Memorial.
