Willard Edsel Grangruth
Willard was born on April 2, 1932 in Menahga, Minnesota
and passed away peacefully at his home on the morning
of June 20, 2020 in Auburn, Washington.
Willard loved to have family and friends over to visit and
reminisce about the good ole times. He had a great memory
for all of his life-long experiences and adventures. He
enjoyed travelling to Minnesota to see his relatives each
year in July during their mid-summer celebrations. He
enjoyed the Holidays and family celebration gatherings
especially when they were for him with gifts, this always
brought a smile to his face. He loved to play bingo and go
to casinos and donate his money and was happy for just
the entertainment as long as he had his favorite beverage
of choice. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports,
Seahawks and Mariners, on television as well as his old
western reruns, history channel and law enforcement
shows. He also enjoyed playing sports and his real love
was bowling with his wife, family, and friends. His hobby
he enjoyed for hours was to look through boxes and tins
of old photos and tell the stories behind them all. He will
be dearly missed and was loved by everyone.
Willard is survived by his loving children Debra Lanway
(Dean), Timothy Grangruth, and Richard Kajita (Lisa)
of Kent and Kenneth Kajita (Norma) of Ocean Shores,
six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, and
numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in Washington
and Minnesota.
His “Celebration of Life” will be determined at a later date
and will be held at the home residence – 26301 143rd Ave
SE Kent, WA 98042.
