Wayne A. Leighton
Wayne A. Leighton 74, long time resident of Maple Valley died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Renton, Washington. Born February 21, 1935 in Omak, Washington to Elston W. and Mae F. Leighton.He served 8 years in the U.S. Navy. After 34 years working at Boeing, he retired in 1990. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and family in his retirement years.He was preceded in death by his father Elston, mother Mae, brothers Walter and Vern. He is survived by his wife Pat, his children Debbie Stewart (Garry), Steve Leighton (Dottie), Jeff Leighton (Lori), Carla Hofferber, and Ronda Young (Don), his brother Bernard Leighton, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.Funeral services will be held March 30 at Edline-Yahn Funeral Chapel located at 27221 156th Ave SE, Kent at 11:30 am; graveside services will follow at Tahoma National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
